Driving Acquisition with Enterprise-Ready Features
Reimagining the Product
In 2022, I joined Deliberate AI, a machine learning platform focused on improving patient outcomes, to improve the product vision for key features. Deliberate had a goal to prepare the platform for users in hospitals and other health based companies.
This project focused on enhacing the product's core MVP to guide its direction and appeal to larger users, such as hospitals. Usability, customization, and reliability for key features were integral to attracting new users and expanding its reach.
Deliberate's primary users were clinicians, and the company was ready to scale its product to meet the needs of larger clients, specifically hospitals. To achieve this, key features needed to be refined through improved visibility, research-driven enhancements, and strategic updates to effectively appeal to this broader audience. ```
Analyzing the competition was essential during this phase, as several of Deliberate's competitors had successfully integrated their products into organizations like Kaiser and the American Heart Association. Examining their MVPs helped identify key areas for improvement to enhance Deliberate's value prop.

Laying out the Roadmap
Identifying existing user experiences, pain points, opportunities, and behavioral patterns provided insights into areas for improvement. After conducting user interviews, I was able to reveal new insights from our current users who emphasized a desire for better organization and customization in the platform.

Decision Strategy
After identifying key areas for improvement, I focused on enhancing the design of three critical user workflows. These pages had the highest activity within the application and were pivotal to positioning the product as a strong selling point for larger clients. I also poked at features leveraging machine learning, which I hypothesized would help position the company ahead of its competitors.
Clinician's Perspective
Currently, many clinicians are juggling multiple responsibilities, leaving them with little time to analyze patient progress or track outcomes for insurance purposes. This lack of time has led to feelings of overwhelm and burnout among clinicians.
Measuring Success
I wanted to make sure I had a way to measure the success the project that would improve the business and also the clinician experience. I focused on these three areas to measure success:
Highlighting Key Information and Modernizing the UI
Design Iterations
The key changes I focused on primarily addressed the UI and information architecture. I strategically organized information for the MVP to present it as interactive and informative as possible.
Enhancing this feature required multiple iterations, in-depth meetings, and detailed approvals. Additionally, redesigning the UI with a modern aesthetic ensured the platform appeared current and competitive, aligning it more closely with Deliberate's industry peers. These efforts ensured the final product aligned with both user needs and business goals.
Tackling Clinician Pain Points
Design Iterations
In one of the key workflows, I aimed to address user challenges in a way that was both measurable and testable for future improvements. Introducing new components to resolve specific pain points was a critical focus.

Exploring Various Solutions
I collaborated closely with our data scientists and engineers, realizing that complex problems demand sophisticated solutions. Presenting multiple options to stakeholders facilitated the blending of ideas and fostered more effective collaboration
Developing scalable solutions that remained valuable saved significant time for engineers, reduced design effort, and amplified overall impact. This allows companies to quickly pitch their product MVP to new clients
